Which Formula Milk Should I Take?

As time approaches for me to go back to Shanghai, Mummy's been thinking a few questions every day:

  1. Should she buy any formula milk to bring along? There are many reasons why Mummy's considering this: (A) It is rather unsafe and untrustworthy to get FM in Shanghai after hearing so many news on fake FM; (B) Mummy's worried that her BM may not be sufficient to keep me warm; (C) Mummy's also worried that once she gets back to work, she will be stressed and will affect the supply of BM.
  2. And which brand formula milk should she buy?

Mummy's been reading up posts in the Singapore Motherhood forums regarding FM. It seems like there is no best FM around, as each baby reacts different to the different brands of FM. Here are some comments made:

  1. Enfalac A+ and Similac seems to have the most vitamins/minerals
  2. Nestle NAN is closest to breast milk in terms of taste and texture and NAN HA is good for babies with constipation and babies prone to allergies or ezcema. (as recommended by PD and GP)
  3. Friso Comfort (which contains fibre) recommended by PD is good to help with vomitting, colicky & constipated infants.

I have only taken Similac so far in my 2 days stay in Gleneagles Hospital, so Mummy thinks that's probably the safest bet. However, Daddy is "loyal" to the Dumex brand since that is one of the brands under the company he works in.
