Want to Know the Gender of My Little New Sibling???

Mummy has scheduled her 20 weeks detailed fetal scan today. She has been waiting "patiently" for this time until her neck seems to grow longer and longer... Hahaha... Everyone who sees Mummy nowadays always ask one question: "Is it a boy or a girl???" So finally, the day is here and we will all know the answer soon.

True enough, Mummy definitely got her prayer answered by God as He has so abundantly blessed our family with a little GIRL... although I must say I think Daddy was a little disappointed. Not that he doesn't love my little 妹妹... But as he has grown up in a family with two boys (ie 叔叔), so he thinks it is more beneficial for both siblings to grow up together. But well, I must say (and I think Mummy will agree) Daddy is going to be so wrong... Cos I am going to grow up loving my little 妹妹, cos that's the whole idea of Mummy wanting a boy first before a girl, so that I can be the big brother that can take care of his little sister...

So Mummy's excited about planning a new wardrobe for my little sister... with all the pretty dresses and ribbons... Hahaha... Daddy's not going to be too thrilled about this!!! But one thing's for sure, it's time to start thinking about my little sister's name!!! Can I have a say, Mummy???

The "Moustache-Less" Super Mario Brother...

Mummy caught me in action when we were transiting at HKIA on our way back to Singapore. Then as she was viewing the photos she took, she suddenly felt that I looked like a Super Mario Brother in this dressing, except for the moustache... Hahaha... Do you guys think so too?

A Day at 鲜花港...

Check out some terrific photos we took (Check out FB if you want to view more...) It was definitely worth the trip even though it was drizzling and chilly... Since Mummy missed the tulips season when she visited Amsterdam and Canberra when she went in late Springs (and the season was just over!!!). Entrance ticket was only RMB 80 (would have cost a lot more in the above two places...) So it's a must go in Spring in Shanghai!!!

The Little Comrade...

We visited 鲜花港 yesterday. As the weather is chilly from the rain, it wasn't exactly the best day to visit the garden to view tulips (Check out the next post for terrific photos we took of the tulips yesterday). However, as we had purchased our tickets in advance, we had to go with it. This is what I wore yesterday... Hahaha... Mummy has taught me "left, right... left, right, left"... Makes her feel like I am a little comrade from China... Hahaha...

Mummy's Fear of Having to Deal with a Second Newborn...

You see, Mummy had a dim sum lunch with Aunty Candy and Aunty Fiona (the one that I went to her place before and refused to step onto her furry carpet, hahaha...) at Royal China... Nice food... So the three ladies started chatting about kids and stuff...

So after the conversation and also recent MSN conversations with Aunty Michelle ("My" Claudia's mummy, hahaha...), Mummy started wondering how she is going to be able to deal with a second newborn. You see, Mummy has trained me from knowledge she learnt from books, from experienced mummies like Aunty Candy, Aunty Lina etc and even trial an error. So now that she looks back, she thinks she has done pretty much a decent job in training my habits (of course, much of the credit has to go to my grandparents who have helped out along the way), EXCEPT for sleeping in Mummy's bed. Although I have been pretty much a mischievous boy now that I am in my terrible twos, Mummy still thinks that I haven't been such a difficult kid to take care of anyways (and 婆婆 concurred with this!!!) One thing Mummy would have loved to have done differently and that is she should never have brought me back to sleeping with her. I was quite good in my cot in the summer, then as winter came, Mummy was worried I will be cold in my cot on my own (fearing that I will kick away my blankets), she allowed me to sleep with her. Now, as she is trying to re-train me on this sleeping habit since our little beanie is coming. However, no matter how hard she tried, she doesn't seem to have any success, without me waking up in the middle of the night, standing in the cot and crying for Mummy. Sigh, the moment Mummy picks me up from the cot into her arms, I feel the comfort and goes back to sleep immediately without making further fuss...

Now as Mummy thinks about how she needs to train a second newborn, she starts to scratch her head again. After all, it's been 16 plus months now. And since my 3rd month, everything is a routine to me that it was really easy. Now, Mummy will have to start the routine training all over again... And for one thing, Mummy knows, it will have to start from Day One, not at 3 months...

A Party Hat...

You see, it hasn't been easy at all for Mummy to snap this photo. She tried so many times, on different days. I hate to wear caps or anything on my head. But on days where I am in a good mood, I will bring this party hat (that I got at Rebecca's 姐姐's birthday party) to Mummy and gesture for her to wear it for me. Usually by the time, Mummy is ready to pull out her camera to snap a picture, I have gotten impatient and pulls the party hat off. How do I look???
