Daddy Gave Me a Middle Name
Last weekend, for some reason, Daddy decided that he wanted to give me a nickname Gosh, guess what's the middle name he gave me. It's SELAMAT, the terrorist. The one that fled from detention in Singapore and all thanks to him, all the police and national service people are still combing the jungles, checkpoints and airports for him. Do you know why Daddy calls me Selamat? It's cos he says I am a "terrorist" at home, although the many times that Mummy and Daddy has brought me out, I received countless compliments from all the aunties and uncles that I am very well-behaved. No wailing in public. Hmm, this is my signal to Mummy to bring me out more often. Haha...
Mummy was even more funny. She decided she should give it a rhyme to go with it. It goes like this:
My middle name is Selamat, S-E-L-A-M-A-T.... Hmmm, when we have a chance, we will upload the video of Mummy singing this. Aunty Grace and Elaine (Mummy's Nov 2007 forum friends) think Mummy is getting too bored to have to invent such a rhyme. But I think it's not so bad after all. Haha...
Video to be uploaded...Please stay tuned...
The Chan Family Look-alike Meter
MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity - Collage - Morph
Mummy lunched in during work today cos she was rushing some deadline for an FPI earning release tomorrow. She took a five minutes break during lunch time and tried this look-alike meter. Everyone tells Mummy that I looked like a MOULD of Daddy. But this proves otherwise. I look EQUALLY like the both of them. This makes Mummy feel so comforted...

Mummy's Thanks @ Easter
It hasn't been an easy time. Being a working mummy. Every day, there seems to be tons and tons of multi-tasking to do, in order to save time and get everything done. This week has been especially bad, as the projects I am on all seem to come this week. Sometimes I can't help but just wish that if I could be less independent, I would probably be more willing to give up my job and be a SAHM. But then, to me, there is more to Mummy's life than just family. So I struggled to believe that I can strike a good balance between work and family. Looking at Matt delights me even though sometimes it feels terrible after a long day of work. Strangely, just a peep at him sleep so soundly in Mummy's bed is sufficient for Mummy to say the hard work's all worth it...
Matt has been a relatively good boy so far. Putting him on a routine was the best thing I could ever have done. Although I have never read the Gina Ford's little contented baby book, I have heard excellent comments about it. And surprisingly, after being 2 months of terror, Matt's schedule just fell into place into the Gina's Ford schedule. Now he is just so much easier to take care and I certainly thank God for this. I went for a Singaporean mummies' gathering just the other day. The mummies all commented that Matt's a well-behaved boy. No wailing, strictly on schedule, haha, even his pooing (cos he poos concurrently or immediately after his feed). Daddy always say Matt's an Oscar award winner outside home, cos he is always so well behaved. Maybe this is Matt's signal to Mummy to bring him out more often. Haha.
Matt has been trying to suck his fingers and fist for a long time. I pull it out every time I sees him doing this. But these 2 days when I worked from home, I started seeing him putting his hand in very often. Guess what the evil Mummy did? Mummy beat him hand one night every time she sees him doing that. And so for the rest of the night, Matt didn't dare put his hand into his mouth anymore. The next morning, he tried away, being a forgetful little baby. I raised my hand slowly, he looked at me and blinked his eyes and quickly pulled his hand out of his mouth. It was hilarious... Matt seemed to know now that Mummy hates his bad habit of sucking fingers...

My Collection of Winter Clothes
My carter's romper and Osh Kosh jacket. Don't I look so smart?
A Gap romper Aunty Michelle bought for me for Christmas. Hmmm, Mummy says I look like a "jailbird" just like Aunty Michelle at their "Uniforms" theme party when she was dressing like a "jailbird". Haha...
I am trying to stand up nowadays. When Mummy tries to seat me on her lap, I simply refuse to, I WANT TO STAND UP!!!
Me and my 2 little dinosaurs...
My Disney Winnie the Pooh's romper. Mummy's favourite. Think I looked like the male version of Snow White here. Haha...
My Carter's baseball suit... (a gift from Aunties Jocelyn and Hoe Shin)
My green and white romper. I am doing tummy time on Mummy's dresser in front of the mirror. I chuckle whenever Mummy faced me at the mirror. Cos I wonder who is that little boy that is staring back at me...
My Carter's hooded romper. I wear this when it's raining to protect the rain and cold from getting into my HAIR. Haha...
My sleepwear, wrapped in a fleece blanket...

I Am Four Months' Old...
A video Daddy took. It showed me "licking" away at the chicken drumstick. And towards the end of the video, when Mummy moved the chicken drumstick away from my mouth, I actually plunged forward and tried to gulp it up. Haha, so funny...
These are some milestones that I have achieved so far. Both Daddy and Mummy are so excited to see me grow day by day.
• Smiles, laughs
• Can bear weight on legs
• Coos when you talk to him
• Can grasp a toy
• Imitates sounds: "baba," "dada"
But Mummy thinks these are some of those that I haven't achieved yet:
• Rolls over, from tummy to back - Too difficult for me now since I am wearing thick rompers that covers my feet. Hopefully summer will come soon and I can show off my fair legs (haha after the winter...)
• Cuts first tooth
• May be ready for solid foods - Mummy still insists on no solids for me until 6 months as she is worried that the introduction of solids too early might cause me to have allergies.
Mummy finally got me on a 5 feeds per day schedule and has been successful for the last 3 days. Now I feed 5 times a day, 4 hourly, starting from 7am in the morning and last feed at 11pm and is able to sleep through the night until 7am. Daddy and Mummy were so glad that this morning, I was able to wake up at 830am since it' a Sunday today...
