I haven't spent time with Matt for a long time. Every time when I get back, I only see him soundly asleep in his cot. But it's really strange... Matt actually wakes up when he hears my voice. We had to issue this set of financial statements at work on Friday and I worked till 5AM on early Saturday morning to get them done. And Matt actually woke up when he heard me talking to Daddy. Then on Sunday, I left Matt with my mum for a while as I had to get something done at work. Again, Matt woke up the moment I stepped into the room and spoke to my mum, even though my mum was watching TV with the volume up as well. It's just amazing how a little baby like him can feel my presence...
Luck hasn't been on my side either, as the transactions I have been dealing with are all on time and going for filing or listing, whereas certain of the transactions that my colleagues have been dealing with are all delayed. Matt's growing very fast... I hate to realise that I am missing all these, whilst spending all this time at work. Here's some of his latest developments I have noted lately, despite the little time spent with him:
- His two little bottom teeth is finally out... He is certainly enjoying the little Angel toothbrush that I ordered from the BP for him, cos it has little bristles that help to ease the itchiness his gums. The only con is that his saliva is every where...
- He's reaching for things he sees and wants. His latest interest is in wires (like my laptop wire and breast pump wire) and TV remote control. And he is not giving up even though we try to move him or the item further away. He just keeps going at it...
- He's learning how to crawl. He has recently become Mr Roti Prata, as he likes to flip all over the bed now. We have to put pillows and bolsters on all sides of the bed now to prevent him from falling. He is also learning how to crawl, although he hasn't learnt to move very much. Raises his butt real high.... haha...
- He likes to stand and stretch now. We try to sit him down and a lot of times, he refuse to sit. Even when he sits, he tries to stretch himself up against the side of the sofa...
