Mummy's Thoughts...
Hahaha, definitely not the countdown that Mummy is doing for the delivery of my little beanie. But the countdown to her holiday to New Zealand... Well, Mummy's finally done with both of the earnings releases for both her FPIs (in case, anyone who doesn't know, this means Foreign Private Issuer for companies listed in the US) for the year. It's been a tough year for audits. In fact, Mummy is not the only one complaining about this. There are so many accounting issues to deal with in light of the fast-deteriorating economic conditions. Hopefully, the economy has stabilised for the time being.
Mummy's Second Pregnancy Journey
Mummy has officially stepped into her 18th week of pregnancy. Somehow, Mummy feels that her pregnancy this time has moved along much faster than she realises it. Maybe it could be due to the fact that she is now constantly tied up with me, a growing toddler running around all over the house every day.
Sometime this week, Mummy decided it was time to transit into her pregnancy clothes to allow her tummy more space, even though she could still fit into some of her looser work suits. However, Mummy's bulge is still not very obvious now, probably it just looks as if she put on some weight and has a "tummy" now. Hahaha... One thing Mummy is glad though is that she is putting on weight slower than when she was pregnant with me. The one person Mummy knows will be really happy at this news definitely has to be Mummy's gynae, Dr Chan. Hahaha... Mummy has ended off her first pregnancy (with me!) at 62kg. Now she hopes that for this pregnancy, she can stay within 58 to 60kg...
Pregnancy No. 1
- Pre-pregnancy weight: 50kg
- Weight in 18 weeks: 53.7kg
Pregnancy No. 2
- Pre-pregnancy weight: 48kg
- Weight in 18 weeks: 50.7kg
All About Me...
Just a month back, I found five cars (the ones they had in the Disney movie "Cars") that Mummy has bought a while ago, left it in my toy box and forgot all about it. Now, every day, I spend so much time playing with these cars and always murmuring "Car Car" all the time.
Mummy was recently reading me 2 books from Sandra Boyton. One teaches body parts in a fun way. And the other teaches words that are of opposite meaning. I like the body parts one cos as Mummy reads it to me, she points and shows me where all my body parts are. So Mummy took stock this morning of the body parts that I can point out correctly (of course, sometimes I purposely don't react when Mummy ask, hahaha). So I know: hair, head, ears, eyes, nose (this one, Mummy hates it, cos I put my finger into my nostril when I point out this one, hahaha), stomach, belly button, hands, feet, fingers and toes. As for the "Opposites" book, I get really amused when Mummy tries to act out what each word means (For eg, Fast - she would swing her hands really quickly vs Slow - she would slow down the swinging action drastically)
I Am 16 Months Old...
At 16 months, Mummy took stock of my development for the month. Here's my update:

- Points to the area when it is painful when we ask “Which area is pain pain?”
- Able to turn on / off the DVD player
- Imitates the keyboard sound of a whistle

A Day Out at Century Park...
Learning How to Do a Somersault...
Packing Up...
- Avent Duo and Uno pumps (Mummy's most useful equipment to ensure there is a constant milk supply)
- Avent Storage cups and bottles
- Fridge-to-go milk storage bag
- Mustela cradle cap shampoo (Cross fingers that Little Beanie will not have it...)
- Destinee diaper cream (Needed to be used on a FIFO basis since there is an expiry date attached to it)
That's all that can fit in our medium-sized luggage box. Guess we have to bring our second loadful when we return to Singapore in mid April... Hahaha...
Cravings, "Expect"ations and Plans
There are 3 things Mummy would like to talk about today:
1. Cravings
Without having to say much, I think all of you will understand what Mummy is craving for right now. Hahaha... 1st, we need to say a big thank you to Baby Chloe as this photo was "stolen" from her blog, as her mummy has the same craving too.
Luckily for mummy, she is not in Singapore, else she would not be able to imagine the naggings that she will get from Dr Chan (btw, Dr Chan is Mummy's gynae at Glen E.). He is a vegetarian and tells mummy that her limit for weight gain during pregnancy is 10 to 12 kg. See below for the reason behind Mummy's cravings... Fortunately, we are returning to Singapore soon.
2. "Expect"ations
Hmmm, many would wonder what does this mean. Well, it's probably "time" to be public. After some planning, Daddy and Mummy decided that it's time for another Junior Chan... especially, it took more than 1 year to "make" me... So they thought they better start this process earlier (in case it takes another 1 year plus)... But goodness, even striking 4D isn't as accurate as this... And Daddy and Mummy struck it within the 1st month they tried. My little beanie sibling is now coming to 15 weeks old and its heartbeat is a racer. Hahaha... Can't wait to find out whether my little beanie sibling is going to be a little girl or little boy... For obvious reasons, Mummy wanted a little girl (so that she can now start to dress her up, which to Daddy, it means spending more $$$). For even more obvious reasons, Daddy wanted a little boy (so that my little brother can use my hand-me-downs and save $$$). But of course, the other reason Daddy thinks both his children should be of the same sex so that we can grow up sharing thoughts with each other.
Let's count down to 20 weeks (mid of April) until Little Beanie gets his / her detailed scan and we will find out whether it is a boy or girl... So long, folks...
3. Plans
Now, for Mummy's and Daddy's plans. Obviously with me excluded... We are intending to make a trip back to Singapore mid April for 3 weeks. However, Mummy and Daddy had decided that they need to have a vacation before the little beanie comes along end of August. So they have been planning their big trip to New Zealand. This is one of the places that Mummy has always wanted to visit. But a few years back, the NZ$ was too expensive. Now, with the NZ$ depreciating and lower airfares, it just seems like the best time to go. So this is the itinerary that they are currently considering.

Unfortunately, they have decided not to bring me and leave me with 爷爷 and 奶奶. So sad....
