The Model Boy

Mummy recently set up Matt N Ash's Closet with Aunty Grace. She made me model a lot of clothes for her. You guys saw the tuxedo right? Now I am wearing Mila Blue's 3 piece set. Ain't I so suave? Haha...

Mummy's Thoughts...A Trip to Xi An Without Matt...

It's been a while since I last pen down something. Work has been really busy and I feel like a frantic mummy trying to multi-task so many things at one time. Sometimes I just feel that I am so busy with necessities (ie Matt's routine of feeding, sleeping etc) that needed to be done, that I neglect the development part for Matt. On top of that, work is piling up and being the stubborn me, I still believe I can handle it.

Daddy decided that in the midst of this, we (ie excluding Matt) should take a short break and spend some couple time together. I always wondered why some friends that I know will say they can't bear to leave their babies behind to go on a vacation. My reply was always, it's only a few days, it should be ok. But then, as we were away a short trip to Xi-An over the weekend, I felt that I actually missed Matt terribly.

Here's some photos of us on Hua Shan and in the Xi An city itself...

My Tuxedo...

Mummy's been shopping around for something formal and presentable for me to wear as the ringbearer at Aunty Melissa's wedding. She finally found this. Although it is a bodysuit, it has details exactly like a real tuxedo... So cute...

My New Booster Seat...

Mummy found a good buy recently. Now she finds having a meal with me so easy, as I can sit with them at the dining table. Check this out...

My Baby Legs...

Mummy suddenly became a huge fan of Baby Legs recently and bought me several designs of baby legs to match my different outfits. But then, Daddy asks Mummy one day, "Is Matt a spider? Why does he need more than 1 pair of baby legs?" So Mummy figured that guys will always be guys, they simply don't understand why there is a need to mix and match clothes with accessories. Thus, by educating me from young, Mummy hopes that I will grow up like her instead. Haha...

My outfit for today:

Me in my baby legs. Ain't I so cool?

I Can Finally Flip...

Daddy and Mummy were so excited tonight. I can finally flip on my own. Mummy was so amazed that I kept flipping the entire night, even when I am sleeping. She actually took a few videos of me flipping. Gosh, I was so tired after that, that I slept so quickly and soundly. I reached another milestone in my development.

Check out the link on the right side for the video of me flipping away...

Daddy and ME...

Mummy took a photo for Daddy and ME, when we were on a cab today. Check this out...

I Am Five Months' Old...

Today, I officially turn 5 months. Mummy bought me a piece of strawberry cheesecake to celebrate. But as usual, Daddy and Mummy finished the cake. Daddy spent the entire day with me. I woke up this morning with a slight fever of 38.2 degrees after my jabs yesterday. Mummy gave me tylenol this morning . Yucks, it tastes so terrible. Luckily, I didn't have to take it a second time as my fever kind of subsided later today.

Some milestones I accomplished at 5 months old:

Debut to the Opening of Matt N Ash's Closet

Today was the debut of the opening of Matt N Ash's Closet. A closet Mummy has set up together with Aunty Grace to bring in cute baby and children's clothings to share with all the mummies out there. In honour of the 2 darlings in their lives (that's ME and Baby ASH), the two mummies hve decided to name the closet after us. Check out our closet using the link on the right...

A Bad Hair Day...

As usual, the Chan family lazed in bed on the weekends. But I had a bad hair day today. Check this out. Yucks...

I Am Buried...

It was a funny sight when Mummy found me "buried" in between the pillows on her bed, after leaving me alone for a couple of minutes to wash up my milk bottle after a feed. When Mummy came back, she found me grinning and smiling to myself and she is wondering what's so funny... Check this out...

Guess What Am I Doing???

Hmmm, can anyone guess what I am doing? Mummy put me on my tummy after my feed time as she went into the kitchen to wash my milk bottle. I held my head up for the longest time ever. Haha... That's when Mummy realises that I am WATCHING THE TV, one of the "Forbiddens" for me. Gosh... Mummy says that's a bad habit. Lying down and watching TV. She quickly laid beside me and posed, whilst she got Daddy to take a photo of us. Check this out...

My First Pair of Shoes...

Today, Mummy decided that I am old enough to wear shoes (Hmmm, I am officially 4 months and 3 weeks old today). She tried on the pair of Disney Winnie the Pooh brown shoes for me. It was still a little big for me (ie about 2cm too long). Check out my new shoes.

This is my outfit today. Don't all of you agree that I am SO SO SO handsome?... haha... 爷爷 says I am so "靓仔" (AKA "handsome boy" in Cantonese). Uncle RongHan from Singapore is in town today and we are going out to meet him for brunch at Whisk on Huai Hai Road. I heard from Mummy they serve fabulous chocolate drinks and desserts. Hmmm, yummy yummy...

The Leapfrog Boy...

Mummy recently bought me a collection of Leapfrog toys, to add on to the little touch I already owned since my 2nd month birthday. Tell you something, Daddy was quite mad at Mummy for "spoiling" me so much. Wow, I can advertise for Leapfrog for free now. Wonder if they are interested in getting me to style as their kid model. Hmmm, there was really once when we were out at XuJiaHui, a lady came up to Mummy to ask if she was interested to have me as a kid model. Check out me at my new Leapfrog toys:

Me Taking a Break at Bellagio...

Daddy and Mummy brought me out last Saturday for lunch. It's a good thing they sat at the cushioned seats. For once, Mummy didn't have to carry me in her lap whilst eating, as she was able to place me at the corner. Check this out... I was so comfortable that I actually took a nap whilst Daddy and Mummy had lunch...

Me and My Shopping Cart...

Last Saturday, Daddy and Mummy brought me to shop at City Supermarket at the Shanghai Center on Nanjing Xi Road. Mummy sat me into into a shopping trolley. As she pushes me around, I am amazed at all the colourful items I see in the supermarket. I was "staring" at the cereals. They looked so delicious to me. Hmmm, does it mean I am ready to start on solids? Mummy tried to take a photo at my greedy face, only to get told off by the supermarket staff that no photos are allowed. Nevertheless, she asked for permission to bring the trolley out of the supermarket to take photos for me. Here they are...

I Am Getting a Haircut

Hmmm, for some reason, all the other babies I know are having a hair problem different from me. Haha, whilst their mummies are concerned that their babies have no hair, Mummy's concerned that my hair is getting too messy and long. See how Mummy tried to trim my sides last Saturday. It was a funny sight cos Mummy was trying to keep me from moving, so she sat me into the sink. Haha...

Mummy's New Toy

Mummy finally got to use her new toy today. Guess what it is? It's the Avent ISIS Duo Breastpump. Being a supporter of breastfeeding (Hmmm, Mummy is still doing total breastfeeding. 3 cheers to Mummy. Hip hip hurrah!!!), Mummy originally had 2 Avent ISIS Uno Breastpumps, which she kept one in the office and one at home, to save her the trouble of bringing so many things back and forth work. You know, Mummy sometimes carry 4 bags to and fro work. One handbag, one laptop bag and one milk bag. Sometimes, if she brings work home to do, she carries another documents bag. Gosh, imagine, Mummy's quite petite. Luckily she gets to travel to and fro work by taxi.

Oh, to finish the story, one of Mummy's Uno motor broke down. So she had to think of an alternative. So we have to thank God for this kind mummy on the Singapore Motherhood forum, who sold her 2 weeks old Duo set at less than half the retail price. But guess what, she accidentally kept one of the diaphragms, and so even when Mummy got a friend to bring the Duo set back to Shanghai, she couldn't use it. The kind hearted mummy who sold this managed to post the diaphragm to her and Mummy finally received it this morning. And she just tried it. Wow, suddenly, expressing milk has been such a breeze as it takes much less time now for each pumping session.
